Moving Toward Embodiment: Body-Inclusive Practices to Nurture Healing

In this 70-minute class, we explore a combination of attention, breathing, movement, self-touch, and sound practices. The teacher draws on her yoga studies and Somatic Experiencing training to lead this class. All of the practices are invitational and no experience is required. It may be helpful to organize a few elements for support and ease, possibly though not necessarily including the following:

  • A comfortable place to practice (mat, blanket, carpet, or bed)

  • Yoga blocks, a bolster, or firm pillows to use as support

  • Blanket, shawl, or clothing layer for warmth

  • Your favorite scent, tea, a candle, or anything else that tends to soothe your senses
